SPRING 2025
QUIET TONES OF JUTLAND
A MAGAZIN FEATURED PORTRAIT SESSION AT THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF DENMARK
The Northwest coast of Denmark has something special about it. The lush green cliffs, the kilometer-long, deserted beaches, the strong wind - you don't have to look far for dramatic scenes here.
The breathtaking conservation area, Toftum Bjerge, is not far from the town of Struer and is perfectly suited for enjoying the rugged beauty of the Danish North. From the top of the cliff, you have an excellent view of a large part of the western section of the fjord, as well as seagulls and, occasionally, even hang gliders.
This portrait session took place in late spring 2025 around sunset. Due to the classically changeable weather, we didn't actually see much of the sun. Would you believe me if I told you that there wasn't a cloud in the sky the evening before, and that the forecast for the day of the session was exactly the same? Weather is truly unpredictable! However, the overcast atmosphere, in conjunction with the wind, ultimately created its own set of wonderfully beautiful scenes.
I always encourage everyone to embrace the weather!
Despite the forecast, the moody, clouded sky added an incredible depth and a raw, atmospheric feel to the portraits, proving that unexpected weather often leads to the most unique shots.
For all lovers of painting, there is a small art exhibition hidden almost halfway down to the beach, tucked away behind the entrance of an old bunker. This exhibition can be visited free of charge all year round and on any day of the week.
This portrait session was proudly featured by Artrait Magazine in June 2025, in consultation with the client. I extend my deepest gratitude and sincere acknowledgments to their entire team for their support and for showcasing this body of work.
